Software Development Engineer in Test - Camera API

Apple is known for its innovative products, and they are seeking a Camera API Test Engineer to ensure the highest quality for Camera technologies. The role involves validating and elevating the quality of Apple’s camera software stack, working closely with development teams to enhance APIs for photography and videography. Responsibilities: Own overall testing and quality of the technologies for which you are responsible; Design, develop and own automated tests for new and existing Camera APIs across Apple platforms; Contribute and maintain continuous integration (CI) systems which helps developers run their tests 24x7 in lab; Contribute to development of test frameworks & tools to support large scale testing on shipping & in-development Apple Systems; Identify, investigate and drive resolution of complex issues spanning APIs, OS and device capabilities; Collaborate closely with camera framework engineers, system teams, hardware partners and project management teams to ensure quality releases of new features and enhancements; Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, from early design reviews to final release validation and help ensure that Apple’s camera APIs are reliable, performant, and delightful for developers to use Qualifications: Solid API test development skills; Familiarity with Python, C/ObjectiveC programming; Bachelor's in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/skills Required Skills: API test development, Python, C/ObjectiveC programming, CI systems development, Device drivers debugging, Photography experience, Cross-functional communication, Organization, Problem solving, Creativity
