Software Engineer II

Chewy is a leading online shopping destination for pet products, and they are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to enhance the customer experience on Chewy.com. The role involves collaborating with engineers and product managers in an Agile environment to develop and improve the product detail page experience for customers. Responsibilities: Developing solutions focused on providing delightful customer experience; Working with a talented group of backend and frontend engineers, product managers, and business leaders in an Agile environment; Developing and improving customer’s PDP experience Qualifications: Strong knowledge and experience developing large-scale products using frontend stack, such as JavaScript/ES6, React, NextJs, CSS(SASS/SCSS), Webpack, Node.js; Experience working with GraphQL; 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, high-performing and fault-tolerant applications for large enterprises; Experience architecting frontend systems across multiple domain teams with cross-cutting concerns; Experience evaluating, measuring, and tuning application performance, especially for the frontend; Hands-on experience working in a public cloud environment; A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience Required Skills: JavaScript/ES6, React, Node.js, GraphQL, AWS, Test Driven Development, Agile experience, CSS(SASS/SCSS), Webpack, Kotlin, Git, Datadog, Jenkins, Artifactory, Content Management Systems, Google Analytics, Optimizely, E-commerce background
