Software Engineer III, Mobile, Android, Messaging

Google is a leading technology company that develops next-generation technologies to connect billions of users. The Software Engineer III role involves working on critical projects related to RCS Messaging, contributing to the development of modern messaging solutions across the Android ecosystem. Responsibilities: Write product or system development code; Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies; Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback; Collaborate on the end-to-end lifecycle of on-device ML models, from initial implementation to final launch on Google Messages and RCS network; Support the ongoing health and maintenance of our spam protection infrastructure by monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues across both backend services and/or on-device components Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 2 years of experience with Android application development; 2 years of experience with software development in Kotlin languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree Required Skills: Android application development, Kotlin, Data structures, Algorithms, Anti-spam domain experience, Trust, Safety domain experience, Product integrity domain experience
